Color/Power Doppler Mode
X A protocol is not specied for images in Color Doppler Mode or Power Doppler Mode. Therefore,
the accuracy of the measurements taken in these modes is limited in the same way as when
taking measurements in B/W images.
X It is not recommended to use images in Color/Power Doppler Mode for accurate measurement
of blood ow speed.
X The amount of blood ow (color ow) is calculated based on the average velocity rather than
the peak velocity.
X In all applications, the amount of blood ow is measured in PW/CW Spectral Doppler Mode.
Cursor Position
X All measurements are aected by input data.
X To ensure accurate positioning of the cursor:
Adjust the image on the screen so that it is displayed at maximum granularity.
Use the leading edge or side tips of the probe to make the start and end points of a measurement
object more distinct.
Make sure that the probe direction is always aligned during measurement.
