Product Maintenance
Cleaning and disinfecting
Using an inappropriate cleaning or sterilizing agent may damage the product. Take the following
information into account.
WARNING:
X
Turn off and unplug the product before cleaning or sterilizing the product to prevent electric
shock or fire.
X
Always use protective eyewear and gloves when cleaning and disinfecting the product.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
X
Do not use a spray directly on the product exterior. It may cause cracks in the product or cause
the color to deteriorate.
X
Do not use chemical substances such as wax, benzene, alcohol, paint thinner, insecticide,
aerosol deodorant, lubricant, or detergent.
Console
Wipe the exterior of the product with a soft cloth, dampened with mild soap or detergent.
Cleaning the Monitor
Wipe the surface of the LCD with a soft, dry cloth. If the LCD panel has been contaminated, gently
wipe 2–3 times or more in the same direction to remove the contaminant.
NOTE: For information on cleaning and disinfecting the probe and the biopsy kit, please refer to
‘Chapter 9. Probes'.
