 2D Hip Joint

This is a basic measurement that is available in all diagnosis modes. You can measure the angle of two

straight lines to a straight line in a 2D image. This measurement is commonly used in the obstetrics

application.

1. Press the Softmenu button [4] Angle to select 2D Hip Joint. “2D Hip Joint” is displayed on the left

side of the screen.

2. Draw three straight lines. The method for measuring a line is the same as in “2D Distance (Line).”

3. The angle between them will be calculated automatically.

α: The angle between the rst and second straight lines.

β: The angle between the rst and third straight lines.

4. When the measurement is nished, its result is shown on the screen. The angles α and β, and the

Hip Joint Type are displayed on the screen.
