Part Names Functions

1 BOARD ID S/W

This BOARD ID S/W is for communication ID setting of SSA-P40x. As the device number(000 to 255)

that is set by the address set-up switch is used to communicate with the computer, it should be same

as the computer

2 Screw hole A hole for fixing to case by screws

3 Input port #1 ~ #7 These are 7 Input Ports (7 LEDs indicate input status)

4 Reader port #1 ~ #4

Each reader port supplies DC12V to the reader and receives 26 / 34bit Wiegand output from

the reader (SSA-P400 : 26bit / SSA-P401 : 34bit)

5 TCP/IP module connecter This is the location for the optional TCP/IP module

6 LCD display port This is the location for the optional LCD display

7 Keypad port This is an optional keypad port

8 LED connecter These are connected to LEDs indicating SSA-P40x status

9 +12V and GND (Main Power) This is for main power connection. (DC12V / Max. 350mA)

10 RS422 Communication Port

This is RS422 communication port for such long distance connection of multiple boards up to

256 units to PC. The RS422 / RS232 converter is necessary for connecting RS422 port to PC

11 RS232 Communication Port RS-232 communication port for such short distance individual connection with the PC

12 TCP/IP connecter

This is the location for the optional TCP/IP module and the user has to install TCP/IP module at this

location when the user would like to use TCP/IP communication port.

13 TTL Output port #1 ~ #3 These are 3 TTL Output ports.

14 Relay Output port #1 ~ #4 These are 4 Relay Output ports.

15 Initialize S/W Switch for initializing SSA-P40x

16 Extension IO connecter Socket for connecting Extension IO Board
