Popular in many areas of the world, Nokia has incorporated its BaseBand 5

technology into its mobile devices since 2007. Previously, physical

extracon was not possible due to the enhanced security mechanism built

into this generaon of devices.

Cellebrite is proud to be the ﬁrst in the mobile forensic industry to enable

physical extracon while bypassing Nokia BB5 device locks. UFED users

can perform the extracon on the devices’ OneNAND memory chip with a

USB connecon. The extracon is performed via the UFED using an

external SD card/USB ﬂash drive for storing the Nokia BB5 support

package. Decoding will be

supported in future versions.
